Loyalist Township is thrilled to announce the return of the TuNesday in the Township summer concert series! This beloved community event features monthly concerts in the park between May and August, offering free live music, complimentary popcorn, summer vibes, and fun for all ages. We invite everyone to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and dancing shoes to enjoy an unforgettable evening of music and fun.
All concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Loyalist Park Amphitheatre, located at 133 Pratt Drive, Amherstview. The Amherstview Lions Club will be present at each concert, collecting donations for the local food bank. Your generosity will help support those in need within our community.
The concert series kicks off on Wednesday May 14 with Nostalgic Sound Big Band. This band blends the intimacy of small combos with the grandeur of big Jazz and Swing bands. Featuring a full ensemble of saxophones, trumpets, trombone, rhythm section, and a female vocalist, their repertoire spans Swing, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Latin, and Soul. Their music is guaranteed to get you dancing! With a strong community presence, Nostalgic Sound Big Band has performed across Kingston, Bath, Gananoque, and Napanee, keeping the spirit of big band music alive and engaging.
Please note that all concerts are weather dependent. In the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather, a sign will be posted at the concert location, and an announcement will be made on our social media channels. We encourage everyone to check for updates before heading to the venue.
